Nice video! Not only was the footage incredible, but the cat at the end made the video even better :) I have to know...who was at the door Dan?

Big Sisters are going to be awesome! That scene with the water breaking through the window was great. Keep up the good work Dan and Raychul! Please do God of War III next...please!

I'll take your word for it guys, even though you both loved the first BioShock. I wasn't the biggest fan (although I did enjoy it), I actually think the sequel will be more appealing to my tastes.

@ Koho - How could you not LOVE the first BioShock? Please, get back to me on that one. Anyway, nice video guys. On a side note...what happened to your hand Dan?

Any news on variety of levels? How many are going to take place underwater, or in some new areas? This is my only concern with the sequel, as in 2K's ability to keep the game interesting while using the exact same setting from the original game.

Combining Plasmids is going to put this game over the top!

@Samususke - I know of at least two underwater levels, but not sure about any new areas after that.

Thanks everyone!

@Teylan: Shoe's friend, Crispin Boyer was at the door. And glad you liked Sadie at the end. :)

Hey Raychul, thanks for dropping by! You mean EGM Crispin? Wow..this show gets more famous by the minute! You should have made him make an appearance...that would have been cool.

Hey guys. Yup, that was EGM's Crispin Boyer who stopped by. He walked in with the camera in the living room and all the lights on. I told him he interrupted us shooting a porno (just recently watched that dumb Zack and Miri Make a Porno flick), which he thought was funny, but Raychul looked like she was about to kick my butt for saying that.

I broke my thumb snowboarding...that cast was a result of the surgery where they put two pins in to hold bone chunks in place. Yuck! Raychul and I have a video up (on my Facebook profile: Dan Hsu) of the pins extraction, if you're interested. Raychul's commentary was hilarious.

Wow, the game looks really intense.  And playing as a Big Daddy!  Talk about reversing roles.  Those things gave me bloody nightmares.  You can keep Resident Evil and Silent Hill--the droning moans of the Big Daddy still gives me goosebumps when I go back and play the original!

Nice to see you guys with such high energy for the game!  Really.  And, was that clothing on teh kitteh?  You are some brave peoples, clothing a cat.  Or crazy.  Probably both.  =D

And Koho!  I'm totally with Sam on this one, how could you not utterly adore Bioshock?  I mean, yeah, it was a lot like System Shock 2, but that is hardly a bad thing.  What wasn't there to like?

@Synthessence: Yeah, Sadie had a shirt on, but it's not because I am a crazy cat mom or anything. She has a skin allergy and chews up her back, so the shirt covers where her itchy spot so that she can't reach it. I figured it was more comfortable to her than one of those big cones they put around their necks. :)

BTW, Raychul is *this* close to being a crazy cat lady. She loves them kitties.

I have a cat too, and she has clothes, so that doesn't make you crazy Raychul. I insist that everyone stop picking on her right this instant :)

On the flip side, I'm going to have to pass on watching your hand video Dan...sounds pretty gross.

I do have a question for the both of you (Dan and Raychul), though. Are you concerned that the level design, or atmosphere might be too similiar to BioShock 1? Are the scattered underwater levels going to be enough to seperate it from the original? Or, does it even matter, as in most fans will love it regardless?

Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work!

@Takashi: I honestly think that BioShock 2 does look a lot like BioShock 1 but still different enough to make it a sequel and not a BioShock 1.5. If you know what I mean. They definitely made it feel like Rapture again and they brought back the overall darkness from the first one but reshapped it to make it a new adventure taking place in a location you are familiar with. If that makes any sense. :)

There will be new areas in Rapture to explore and yes, the underwater parts are also a great way to seperate itself from the first BioShock. Really, I think they did an excellent job of keeping it true to the first one yet tweaking it enough to make it a new adventure.

The Splicers definitely feel a bit different, and it's already a new vibe playing as a Big Daddy. But I have some of the same concerns...if the levels will feel too similar to the original. I asked the developer this, and they're very conscious of making sure they can surprise BioShock 2 players the same way we were all surprised visiting Rapture the first time around. I hope it works!

Thanks for the input Dan and Raychul!

I was hoping they would do a prequel, so that we could see Rapture in its early state before the demise. Maybe we could even take part, or see, how it all went downhill. Maybe relive some of the audio tapes that we found in the original. But anyway, good video and can't wait to see more after E3!

First, thanks Raych for pointing me in the right direction, sorry it took so long to find ask.

Second, cant wait for Bioshock 2 and thanks for the real player insight. I may have been misinformed elsewhere, but l read there maybe mulitplayer...what do you both think about that?

Im hoping they will do a prequel where it takes part during the rebellion that causes Rapture to basically collaspe...and mmaybe two or three storylines depending on what side you join.

And last, great site and look forward to more in the future...oh and yah ps3!:)
